1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Tim Beames Physiotherapy services. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these terms.

Tim Beames is a Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

2. Appointments and Bookings

Booking

  • Appointments can be booked online via our website or by contacting us directly
  • A booking confirmation will be sent to your email address
  • Appointments are subject to availability

Cancellation Policy

  • We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at full fee
  • Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in prepayment requirements
  • We understand emergencies occur - please contact us to discuss

Late Arrivals

  • If you arrive late, your appointment time will be reduced accordingly
  • The full fee will still apply
  • Please contact us if you anticipate being late

3. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are payable at the time of the appointment unless otherwise agreed
  • Payment can be made by bank transfer, card, or cash
  • Current fees are available on our website or by request
  • Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice
  • Receipts will be provided for all payments
  • We do not currently bill insurance companies directly - you are responsible for claiming reimbursement

As a registered healthcare professional, I adhere to:

  • HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics
  • CSP Code of Professional Values and Behaviour
  • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  • Professional indemnity insurance requirements

5. Confidentiality

  • All information shared during consultations is confidential
  • Medical records are maintained in accordance with professional guidelines
  • Information may be shared with your GP or other healthcare professionals only with your explicit consent
  • Confidentiality may be breached only in exceptional circumstances as required by law or professional duty

6. Consent to Treatment

  • You will be asked to provide informed consent before any assessment or treatment
  • You have the right to ask questions and withdraw consent at any time
  • Treatment plans will be discussed and agreed with you
  • You have the right to decline any aspect of treatment

7. Your Responsibilities

As a patient, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical history information
  • Inform us of any changes to your health or medications
  • Follow agreed treatment plans and home exercises to the best of your ability
  • Attend appointments on time
  • Provide adequate notice for cancellations
  • Treat the physiotherapist and practice with respect
  • Pay fees in accordance with these terms

8. Limitations of Service

  • Physiotherapy is not a substitute for emergency medical care
  • In case of medical emergency, contact 999 or attend A&E
  • We may refer you to other healthcare professionals if appropriate
  • We reserve the right to decline or terminate treatment if clinically inappropriate
  • Treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed

9. Communication

  • We may contact you by email, phone, or SMS regarding appointments
  • You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time
  • Please ensure we have current contact details
  • Email and SMS are not suitable for urgent or confidential matters

10. Online Consultations

For video consultations:

  • You must have a suitable internet connection and device
  • Ensure privacy and confidentiality in your location
  • Online sessions are subject to the same professional standards as in-person appointments
  • Fees apply as with in-person consultations
  • Technical issues may occasionally occur - we will reschedule if necessary
